Bengaluru: The Congress announced another list of Lok Sabha candidates on Friday, disclosing five names, three of whom are from Karnataka.

The other two candidates are from Rajasthan. From Chamarajanagara, Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadaveppa’s son Sunil Bose has been given the ticket.

Chamarajanagara is reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs).

The Chikkaballapur ticket has gone to former Karnataka Youth Congress president Raksha Ramaiah, son of former minister MR Seetharam. Former Chief Minister Veerappa Moily was also an aspirant for the seat.

From Ballari, the Congress has fielded E Tukaram, who is the sitting MLA from Sandur in the district. The other option was former Ballari MP VS Ugrappa, who has been snubbed.

The Ballari Lok Sabha seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribes (STs). The only other sitting MLA who has been fielded by the Congress is Raghavendra Hitnal from Koppal.

The contentious Kolar seat is the only one for which the Congress is yet to name a candidate because of the internal friction in the party. Kolar is also reserved for SCs.

Congress also replaced two candidates in Rajasthan. Damodar Gurjar has been fielded from Rajsamand while CP Joshi will fight from Bhilwara.
