Businessman hacked to death

A 35-year-old businessman was hacked to death in broad daylight in Hennur police station limits on Saturday afternoon. Panic gripped the area as the murder happened in full public view.

The accused came on bikes and stopped the businessman’s car. When he tried to run, he was chased and murdered. The deceased has been identified as Sridhar, a garment businessman.

Bengaluru: The incident happened near Nagwara Ring Road. He was driving a car on the service road of the Nagawara Ring Road. Soon he realised that four assailants were chasing him on bikes. He stepped on the accelerator, but the chase continued.

At one point he got out of the car and began to run. Soon he was caught and killed.

The reasons for the murder and the identity of the assailants are yet to be known. The police are going through the footage of the CCTVs in the vicinity.

The Hennur police have registered a case.
