Water tanker driver robbed of Rs 30,000

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A driver of a water tanker was waylaid and attacked by four unidentified men who robbed him of Rs 30,000 cash near Valepura Bus Stop in Whitefield during early hours of Sunday.

The victim, Mahesh, a resident of Whitefield, approached the jurisdictional police station and filed a complaint regarding the incident.

In his complaint, he alleged that the incident took place around 1:45 am when he was driving a water tanker near Valepura bus stop.

He claimed that a car intercepted his vehicle and four persons attacked him and snatched Rs 30,000 in cash that he had.

They fled the scene in the car. The police said that they have launched a probe and are currently checking the CCTV footage to ascertain the identities of the accused.
