Bengaluru: In a news of relief, those who consume more than 100 units per month will see a slashed rate of power tariff by 1.10 rupees coming into force from Monday, April 1.
The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) last month had reportedly approved the downward revision of rates.
The reduction will be reflected in bills produced in May for the month of April. The tariff per unit up to 100 units is Rs. 4.75 and Rs. 7 after 100 units.
However, that will be slashed to Rs. 5.90 rupees, reports say. A lot of consumers have also availed the ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme.
