IIIT-B and upGrad launch executive post-graduate programme in Cloud and DevOps for industry

Bengaluru: The Inter national Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B) has introduced a new Executive Post-Graduate Certificate program in Cloud and DevOps in collaboration with upGrad, Asia’s leading integrated learning platform.

This online program is a pioneering initiative, offering comprehensive coverage of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), encompassing concepts tested in AWS and Azure exams.

Industry reports indicate that by 2028, more than half of enterprises will adopt industry Cloud platforms to accelerate their business operations.

The program emphasises various cloud platforms and DevOps principles and learners will engage in hands-on training to deploy web applications, preparing them for roles in managing cloud-based applications.

Prof Debabrata Das, Director of IIIT-Bangalore, stated, “DevOps emphasises collaboration, automation, and communication between software developers and IT operations teams. This comprehensive program aims to meet future demands in this critical technical area."

The program includes over 50 live training sessions covering core DevOps skills like continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC). Participants will also gain preparation for AWS Academy Cloud Foundations, Azure Fundamentals, and AZ-104 certification exams.

Mayank Kumar, Cofounder & MD of upGrad, commented on the program's launch, "The rising demand for DevOps and Cloud computing has led to the introduction of this program. With a strong history of collaboration with IIITB since 2016, upGrad aims to provide hands-on tools and domain fundamentals to enhance employability for both tech and non-tech professionals."

Enrollments for the program, commencing on June 30, 2024, are now open.
