B’luru records 37.6 degrees, hottest April day in 8 years

Bengaluru: Bengaluru on Saturday recorded a maximum temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius, the highest mark for April in the city in the past eight years.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) added that 37.6 degrees Celsius, was also the third highest mark in Bengaluru for the month of April in the last 15 years.
The Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) or the Devanahalli area in Bengaluru Rural district on the other hand registered a maximum temperature of 38.3 degrees Celsius on Saturday, breaching the 38 degree mark two days in a row.
Meanwhile, Kalaburagi on Saturday recorded a maximum temperature of 43.3 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state.
Moreover, Bidar, Bagalkote, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur,Yadgiri , Vijayapura, Haveri Ballari, Vijayanagara, Chitradurga, Davangere and Tumakuru districts have been issued a heat wave alert by the IMD.
