Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah predicted that Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP and BJP’s Bengaluru North candidate Shobha Karandlaje would lose this time around since she was facing opposition from her party workers.

The CM added that Congress candidate for Bengaluru North MV Rajeev Gowda was a competent individual for the job, adding that he would win the seat.

He made the comments after inaugurating the Congress women and booth level leaders conference in Dasarahalli Assembly constituency on Sunday.

“Shobha Karandlaje faced go back slogans from the BJP workers and leaders of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru. So she has been given a ticket here. Voters of conscience in Bengaluru North should send Shobha Karandlage packing from here too,” Siddaramaiah said.

“Shobha Karandlaje did not raise her voice for a single day about the injustices done to the state for five years,'' he added.
