
INDIA names state-level coordination committee

Bengaluru: Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) named an 11-member state level coordination committee made up of members of 10 parties.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has called on local leaders to form similar coordination committees at the district and block levels as well.
KPCC working president and Rajya Sabha MP GC Chandrashekhar has been named the president of the state-level coordination committee. KPCC Communications wing chief Ramesh Babu will be the convenor.
Members of the co-ordination committee include Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP’s) Sanchit Sahani, CPI’s Sathi Sundaresh, CPI(M)’s Basavaraju, CPI(ML)’s Clifton Rosario, Manjappa Yadav from the Samajwadi Party (SP), Ramaswamy Nateshan from the DMK, CS Inamdar from the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), Shivashnakar GR from Forward Block and Javedullah from the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
The purpose of the co-ordination committee is to ensure that there is no leakage and all non-National Democratic Alliance (NDA) votes go to the Congress, who will be the only INDIA bloc party to field candidates.
