Man fatally attacked for advising youths against alcohol consumption

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In the town of Ramachandrapur, a tragic incident has shaken the community.

Venkatesh, a 45-year-old resident known for his compassionate nature and commitment to his neighbourhood, met with a tragic end on a seemingly ordinary night.

As he was taking his routine stroll towards the Ramachandrapur playground around 10:30 pm, he came across two young men consuming alcohol near a bus stop.

Demonstrating his concern for their well-being, Venkatesh approached them and advised them against indulging in alcohol at such a young age, hoping to steer them towards a healthier path and protect them from the potential dangers of excessive drinking.

Regrettably, his genuine concern was met with hostility and aggression. The youths, infuriated by Venkatesh's advice, responded with violence.

In a sudden and horrifying turn of events, one of them attacked Venkatesh with a knife, leaving him critically wounded.

Horrified bystanders immediately alerted the police, leading to a swift apprehension of the assailants, identified as Pawan Kumar, 24, and Nanda alias Nanda Gopal, 21.

Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Venkatesh tragically passed away at 4 am the following morning due to his injuries.

The community of Ramachandrapur is in mourning, grieving the loss of a kind-hearted individual whose only intention was to offer guidance and care.

Venkatesh's untimely and senseless death underscores the urgent need for peace, understanding, and mutual respect within our communities.

It serves as a poignant reminder of the devastating consequences that can arise from unchecked anger and intolerance.
