Bengaluru: Congress candidate from Beng aluru Central Mansoor Ali Khan has complained to Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manoj Kumar Meena that a BJP worker accompanied Election Commission (EC) officials during voting at home for the Lok Sabha elections meant for the elderly and handicapped.
Mansoor and Congress observers alleged that the violations took place in Rajaji Nagar Assembly constituency.
In his letter to Meena, the Congress candidate has called on the EC to dismiss the “erring” officials and declare the voting that took place in the presence of the 'BJP agent' null and void.
Presumably, this would mean recasting of votes by the same electors for a second time Voting at home took place on Saturday for all three Lok Sabha constituencies in the city namely Bengaluru Central, South and North.
