Palike pushes youth to vote in polls
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In an effort to boost voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, District Election Officer and BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath emphasized the importance of voting under the motto "Our Move Towards the Polling Booth."
Addressing the youth at an awareness campaign titled “Nama Nade Matatgatte Kade," Nath highlighted the significance of higher voter turnout and urged everyone to encourage others to exercise their voting rights.
Recently, an app titled “Know Your Candidate (KYC-ECI)” was launched to provide voters with candidate information, aiding them in making informed decisions.
Kannada actor Ramesh Aravind, serving as an election ambassador, likened a voter to a brick in a building, stating, “Just as more bricks strengthen a building, more voters contribute to a strong democracy.”
The programme was attended by over 2000 students from various colleges.
