DSS appeals to voters to reject BJP, NDA candidates in LS polls

Mysuru, NT Bureau: Karnataka state Dalith Sangharsha Ikya Horata Chalana Samithi senior leader Indudhara Honnapura on Wednesday appealed to voters to reject BJP candidates during this parliamentary polls as such measures are must to protect the constitution, to save democracy.

Addressing reporters at a press conference here, he accused the union government led by Manduwadis, RSS like organizations deprived of the jobs of dalits, backwards and minorities by promoting contractual system, privatization, enmity between communities.

He asked the people to remain vigilant about communal forces coming to power at the centre by dividing the majority Bahujan Samaj votes, creating rift between them.

He criticized the PM Narendra Modi for his failure to create two crore jobs to tackle unemployment, inflation, not doubling the income of farmers, and other issues he promised to people.

Though the PM has given relief by writing off loans of corporates and industrialists, he worked against the interest of poor SC/STs OBCs students by stopping their scholarship grants, he alleged.

He also condemned the centre for meting out injustice to state over tax, delay in drought relief, other funds though the state was contributing highest tax to the union government, for misuse of central premier investigating agencies IT, ED and CBI to silence the voice of its political opponents.

He appealed to people to support Congress, India block parties by rejecting BJP, JD(S) and other NDA parties in the parliamentary polls.

All faction DSS leaders R Nagaraj, R Venkatesh, Mavalli Shankar, Guruprasad Keregodu, M Somashekhar, Bettaiah Kote and others were present.
