Bengaluru: In a record-breaking feat, over 28,000 participants, including over 1500, are set to feature in the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) 10-kilometer run, slated to happen on Sunday, April 28th.
The TCS World 10K Bengaluru saw an overwhelming response from the running community across all categories, breaking all barriers.
Registrations for the feature race - the Open 10K and the Majja Run - are oversubscribed.
This is a glowing testament to the popularity of the sport of running. Today, running is the fastestgrowing urban sport, with as many as 700 new runners inspired each day to begin their running journey.
The starting point for the 10K run is from the Rajendra Sinjhi Institute grounds on Cubbon Road.
The route will feature a three-kilometer stretch along Ulsoor Lake and will only have two U-turns, ensuring a fastpaced run. Runners will also pass by the Chinnaswamy Stadium, High Court, and the majestic Vidhana Soudha.
Defending champion Tamshi Singh will lead the way, as confirmed by the organisers. The cosplay-based ‘Majja Run’ will also be a sight to savor.
A Pre-Marathon expo near the Palace Grounds will take place, where runners have to collect their bibs and apparel for their big run.
