B'luru firm's witty take on Murthy's '70-hr work week'
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, co-founder of Bengaluru-based company Wakefit, recently weighed in on Narayana Murthy's suggestion of a 70-hour work week.
Contrary to the conventional interpretation, Ramalingegowda advocates for dedicating 70 hours per week not to work, but to sleep.
He argues that optimal productivity stems from wellrested individuals, emphasising the importance of prioritising sleep for peak performance.
In a LinkedIn post, Ramalingegowda reflected on Wakefit's perspective regarding the ongoing discourse surrounding the 70-hour work week.
"70 hours a week. We've been tracking this discussion closely at Wakefit," he shared.
With the onset of a new financial year and heightened appraisal activities, he deemed it an opportune moment to express their viewpoint.
Ramalingegowda asserted the necessity for each team member in India to contribute 70 hours per week consistently, emphasising that it's a reasonable expectation.
