305 poll booths are vulnerable, 365 micro observers deployed

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: CH News In an aim to keep an eye on critical and vulnerable polling stations, District Returning Officer(DRO) and Chief Commissioner of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Tushar Giri Nath had overlooked training of micro observers at the Town Hall on Saturday. Bengaluru is set to elect its representatives on Friday, April 26.

Three constituencies, in addition to Bangalore Rural and Chikkaballapura fall under the civic agency’s jurisdiction.

With 305 polling stations identified to be vulnerable across 28 assembly constituencies, a total of 365 micro observers have been deployed to ensure proper oversight.

The importance of vigilant monitoring during polling, was stressed by Nath, who also urged officials to report illegal activities.

In addition to deploying micro observers, video and webcasting will be implemented to enhance transparency during the electoral process.
