Poster designer becomes producer

Sandalwood attracts all types of people. Now, a movie poster designer has made his debut as a producer for “December 24”, a Kannada movie. He is Devu Hassan who has designed around 500 posters for Kannada movies.

Recently, the audio and the poster of the movie were released by farmers’ leader Kodihalli Chandrasekhar and Srinagar Kitty, a Sandalwood artist in Bengaluru. According to producer Devu Hassan, the movie is based on real life incidents that took place four years ago at Huliyurdurga of Kunigal taluk in Tumkur district.

Devu Hassan said that he has a plan to dub “December 24” into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi and set to hit the silver screen in March. “The story of the movie is about medical students who embark on a visit to a nearby forest to find the reasons for some peculiar incidents and the climax is what happens to them,’’ he said.

The shooting of this movie was held for 60 days in Bengaluru, Sakleshpur, Huliyurdurga and Dandeli. Nagaraj MG Gowda has provided script, screenplay, dialogues and direction for this movie. It has Appu Badigera, Ravi KR Pete, Raghu Shetty, Jagadeesh HD Doddi, Sagar, Bhoomika Ramesh, Milana Ramesh and others in the star cast.

Twenty plus producers for “Capital City”

Perhaps for the first time in the Kannada film industry, more than 20 people have invested money to make a Kannada movie. The title of the movie is “Capital City”. Eight of the 23 producers are acting in this movie that is directed by Anantha Raju.

Anantha Raju has directed Kannada movies such as “Kiladi Kitty”, “Appu Pappu’’, and “Manasina Maathu”. The muhurat function of “Capital City’’ was held at Ela Estate near Marathahalli recently. K Manju alias Kobbari Manja, a well-known producer, has sounded the clapboard while Dileep of IMFA has switched on camera for the inaugural shot.

According to the director, the movie is about underworld activities in the capital of Karnataka. “Apart from crime, the movie will have comedy and sentiment elements. Most of the shooting of this movie will be held in Bengaluru,’’ the director said.Rajeev, who acted in three Kannada movies, is the hero. “I am confident that Rajeev will earn name and fame from this movie,’’ said the director. Krithika is paired with Rajeev. Ravi Shankar is playing as an underworld don in this movie while Sharath Lohitasva is assigned to act as an Assistant Commissioner of Police and Sridhar as a politician.Lyricist Ramnarayan has penned four songs for this movie. Nagu S is the music director. Deepu S has been assigned to work behind the camera. This movie has Different Danny as the stunt director.

“Shardhoola” in Hindi

Kannada movie “Shardhoola” that was released on August 20, 2021, is set to be dubbed in Hindi. Its Hindi dubbing rights were sold for a huge amount a few days ago. According to its producer Rohit Shanthappa, there is a good demand for the Telugu and Tamil rights of this movie. Krithika Ravindra, Raviteja, Chethan Chandra and Aishwarya Prasad are the important star cast in this suspenseoriented movie.

The movie is about four friends who want to form a start-up company. Before launching the start-up, they go on a vacation. What happens to them during their vacation is the climax. Aravnd Kaushik, who handled the megaphone for Kannada movies “Nam Areal Ond Dina”, “Thuglak” and “Huliraya”, has directed this movie.
