Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Banaswadi Police has so far arrested three persons in connection with the brutal murder of a real estate businessman, Karthikeyan, that took place in the city Tuesday night. The police said that they are searching for more suspects in the case.

Karthikeyan, 40, who had rowdy sheets against him at Commercial Street and Banaswadi Police Stations, was chased and brutally hacked to death in SR Palya by a group of men, who are suspected to belong to a rival gang.

Prima facie, it appears that there was old enmity between the gangs, the police said. They further said that at least eight men armed with machetes and daggers attacked Karthikeyan and had reached the spot on four bikes.

Efforts are on to identify and nab the other suspects, the police added. The body was sent for a post mortem analysis and the investigation in the matter is underway.
