Siddu attended 90 programmes, travelled 20k km, says CMO
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The office of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah revealed that the head of government had attended 90 programmes, criss-crossing upwards of 20,000 kilometres in Karnataka.
The programmes began from the start of the year and were aimed at delivering the message of service delivery to voters in the lead up to the Lok Sabha elections. Karnataka went to polls in two phases on April 26 and May 7.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) clarified that he had participated in 14 “guarantee” related programmes to publicize the State government’s five flagship schemes, apart from 76 “Prajadhwani Yatres”, the moniker the Congress uses for election-related public meetings.
The office added that a total of 14 lakh people had attended Siddaramaiah’s programmes, including his road shows. The CMO said that many of these people had braved the summer heat to be able to get a chance to hear Siddaramaiah talk.
