Hebbal Flyover from K R Puram fully closed
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The ramp of Hebbal Flyover towards the city from KR Puram where only two-wheeler movement was permitted, will be fully closed from Tuesday, as Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is expediting the extension of the flyover.
Bengaluru Traffic Police has directed light motor vehicle users to use alternative routes to enter the city. The same will now apply to two-wheeler riders too.
Those traveling on Outer Ring Road (ORR) from Nagawara, are advised to take a right turn at Hebbal Circle below the flyover and a detour at Kodigehalli Gate towards the city. Traffic police have also identified three other routes towards the city mainly the IOC- Mukunda Theatre Road, Lingarajapuram flyover, and Nagawara - Tannery Road.
Those coming from Thanisandra are advised to enter the city via GKVK - Jakkur road. Vehicular movement from K R Puram to Yeshwantpur will be diverted at BEL Circle towards Sadashivanagar Police Station junction and riders can take the right towards Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
Commuters travelling to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) from KR Puram, Hennur and Banaswadi are advised to take the New Airport Road. Joint Commissioner of Police for Traffic M N Anucheth told reporters that the BDA will take around six months to complete the key infrastructural upgrade.
