19 days and counting... Prajwal yet to turn up in sex abuse case
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The JD(S) MP from Hassan Prajwal Revanna, who is facing sexual assault charges, has reportedly not boarded a flight from Munich, Germany for Bengaluru on Wednesday as was being speculated, according to Special Investigation Team (SIT) sources.
The speculation on his return began after a soft copy of an airline ticket bearing Prajwal’s name started doing the rounds.
It was a ticket from Lufthansa, the national carrier of Germany, and pegged Prajwal’s departure from Munich, Germany at 12:05 pm local time and arrival in Bengaluru at 12:30 am on Thursday. Apparently, the return ticket was booked on April 27 when he fled to Germany.
However, police sources claimed that he had not boarded the airplane according to the information they had received from airport authorities.
A blue corner notice pertains to “collecting additional information about a person’s identity, location or activities in relation to a criminal investigation”.
The accused remains elusive even after 19 days. The controvesy broke out after April 22 when nearly 3,000 videos of Prajwal allegedly sexually assaulting scores of women started doing the rounds in Hassan by way of pen drives.
