Prajwal was not in touch with me even when he was MP: HDK
Mysuru, NT Bureau: Former CM HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday asserted that he is not in touch with Hassan MP and sexual abuse case accused Prajwal Revanna who is absconding. Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, he said that Prajwal was not in touch with him even when he was the Hassan MP.
''I don’t know where he is now after he left the country following the controversy,'' he said.
He also said the Special Investigation Team(SIT) probing the sexual allegations against Prajwal is not conducting the investigation properly.
''Even though the main accused is attending media channel interviews, the SIT has not arrested him even today, leaving him to roam freely. The SIT arrested BJP leader Devarajegowda one month after a sexual harassment case was filed against him,'' Kumaraswamy said..
The Congress government doesn't want the truth in the sexual harassment case to come out, he said adding that the only aim of the Siddaramaiah government is to tarnish the image of the Deve Gowda family and the JD(S). Referring to his 'big whale' statement, Kumaraswamy said the 'big whale' is in the government itself.
“Everyone knows who the big whale in the state is ,'' he remarked without naming deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar. He also alleged that his brother HD Revanna was arrested “to defame the Deve Gowda family.”
The former CM said he would stand by women victims in the pen drive episode. He asked Home Minister G Parameshwara to state whether the police had initiated any action with respect to alleged intimidation of a woman victim which had been referred to by the National Commission for Women.
