BJP candidate extends supports to NDA candidate

Mysuru, NT Bureau: Former Syndicate member of University of Mysore E C Ningarajugowda who had submitted his nominations paper claiming to be the BJP candidate without a 'B Form' to contest from South Teachers Constituency in the Legislative Council polls has decided to extend his support fo NDA candidate K. Vivekananda.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference attended by JD(S) state core committee president G T Devegowda at the BJP office here, he said that he is withdrawing the nomination papers he filed as per the BJP high command's decision.

It is learnt that state opposition leader R Ashok convinced Ningarajugowda at a meeting held at private hotel in the city to withdraw his nominations. MLA Srivatsa and City BJP president L Nagendra were present at the meeting.
