Two cases of forest violations booked
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Forest Department of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike on Saturday had received two separate complaints of violations of the Karnataka Tree Preservation Act, 1976.
According to reports, a builder from Andhra had put workers to cut 45 trees in a property at Sai Serenity Layout, allegedly to build 45 flats. According to the BBMP, only four trees were uprooted.
A First Information Report (FIR) against Rajesh K has been filed, under section 8 of the act. In the Western Zone of the BBMP, trees in the road side at 20th Avenue, Kumarakrupa West were allegedly being drilled and sprayed chemicals on by Ashwath Ram.
