KSRTC bus crashes into divider of flyover; 6 injured

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus was found dangling in a flyover at Madanayakanahalli near Nelamangala on Tumkur Road on Saturday.

The vehicle reportedly crashed into a divider of the flyover. The bus was on a trip to Bengaluru from Somwarpet. Reports say that six, including the driver and the conductor sustained injuries and were sent to the hospital.

They were sitting in front of the bus, as the front portion was reportedly damaged, fully. Others sustained minor injuries. The police, with the help of the locals, had rescued the passengers, and had hired a crane to place the bus fully on the road.

The injured were rushed to the hospitals. A medical report of the driver is awaited to know whether he was under the influence of alcohol.

A technical team is deployed to inspect the bus to determine the reason for the accident. Traffic movement on the stretch was disrupted.
