DC felicitates SSLC toppers

Mysuru, NT Bureau: Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra on Saturday felicitated 10 SSLC toppers of the district at the function organized by the district administration at its office in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that as SSLC was a turning point of every student to continue their education in their education life, he asked students to make use of this success as a stepping stone to realize their dreams, goals in their career and life.

As success in SSLC exam always raises a lot of expectations both among students and parents, increases pressure among them in the cut throat compitetive driven society, he wanted students to move ahead in life with positive mindset and clear cut goals.

As students entering to pre university college level education system from high school level secondary education, there will be a lot of distractions for them during their adolescent period. Students should not fall prey to bad habits and drug abuse.

Students should cultivate good habits and hobbies for their success in their life. They must also involve in extra curricular activities like sports, drama, music apart from academic excellency, he said.

The DC also highlighted the role of patents and teachers in shaping the education career creating conducive learning atmosphere for them. Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer K M Gayayri also called upon students to prepare mentally to face compitetions in their college life.

She also appreciated the toppers for bringing laurels to the district, parents, school, and to their teachers She wanted students to remembe the people who are responsible for their success besides to tread on the right path which leads to success as there is no shortcut to success.
