Spa raided, seven women rescued

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Indiranagar police raided an illegally operating spa and rescued seven women, including one from Thailand, who were allegedly forced into immoral activities by the staff here.

Based on a tip-off, a team of police led by inspector Sudharshan HV, raided the spa and rescued the women. According to sources, six women belonged to other states while one was from Thailand.

The police arrested a male employee who was managing the spa and massage centre. According to the police, the victims were promised decent jobs by the owner of the spa and were brought to Bengaluru.

The women were then allegedly forced into immoral activities. The customers were attracted to the parlour with offers of providing them with a variety of body massages that were named as 'cross massage,' 'body-tobody massage,' 'happy ending,' said sources.

The rescued women were sent to the state home for women for counselling and rehabilitation while efforts were on to track down the owner, who is on the run, the police said on Tuesday.
