Saravanan from B’luru tops COMEDK

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The results of the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) exam conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) were declared on Friday, May 24 at 3 pm. Balasatya Saravanan from Bengaluru secured the first rank.

Candidates who attended the examination can check their exam results on the official COMEDK website, www.comedk.org.

Among the top 10 ranked candidates, 8 are from Karnataka.

The other top 10 candidates from Bengaluru include Praket Goel (4th), Niketh Prakash Achanta (7th), Neha Prabhu (8th), Jagadeesh Reddy Marla (9th), and Eshwar Chandra Reddy Mulka (10th).

This qualifying examination was conducted for admission to 150 private engineering colleges in Karnataka and 22,000 engineering seats in 40 private universities across the country. A total 1,03,799 candidates took the exam.

Students can check their rank list and download their scorecards from the COMEDK website. The COMEDK UGET serves as a gateway to about 18,000 seats in 125 private engineering colleges.

Out of the 1,18,005 candidates who applied, 1,03,799 appeared for the exam, including 35,124 from Karnataka and 68,675 from other states. The exam was held on May 12 for admission to the engineering courses of the 2024 batch.

COMEDK released the Key Answers on May 21. The examination was conducted online in three sessions at 264 centres in 191 cities across the country.

Counselling registration started on Friday

Counselling registration and document uploading started at 4 pm on Friday.

COMEDK will shortlist candidates based on their percentage and ranks, and conduct counselling sessions.

To gain admission to the 150 private engineering colleges in Karnataka or the 40 private universities in various parts of the country, candidates must register during this period.
