‘Big blunder’ in SSLC marks card, say students & parents

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A few students who had completed their Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations and parents have alleged that their marks were incorrectly entered in their final marks card, jeopardising their admission prospects for higher studies on Saturday.

Venugopal, parent of Akash, a class 10 student, alleged that only five marks were awarded in his social science result.

 “He has scored above 90 percent in all the other subjects. When we looked at his answer sheet, the actual score was 75 out of 80. It is a big blunder by the Examination Authority,” he added.

Amrutha, another student, claimed that her Science paper had a correction mistake costing her 15 marks. “We have approached for an reevaluation, but delays in the same have cost me an admission in a top PU college,” she said.

A daughter of a salesman from Chickpet, She had aspired to become a doctor. “It is disappointing that we missed out on it due to a blunder from the authorities,” she added.
