Stabbed &dumped on highway: Cops rescue man

Kolar, NT Bureau: A team of patrolling police rescued a person suffering with stab and cut injuries on his body on the highway near Chunchadenalli in the taluk.

The incident took place in the wee hours of Tuesday and the injured man was shifted to a hospital with the help of a few passers-by. The victim, Nagesh told his rescuers that he was allegedly attacked by his wife Ashwini’s family member over some domestic dispute.

He said the latter took him to drink, slit his throat and stabbed in the abdomen in an attempt to kill him. He was Nagesh, hailing from Mallasandra village in Kolar taluk, had married Ashwini of Varanasi village seven years ago and the couple have a daughter.

However, due to Nagesh's reckless behaviour, his wife separated from him, the police said. A few days ago, Nagesh had threatened his wife of murder. The Kolar Rural police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
