Young man run over by bus, cops seek help in identification

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Upparpet police on Tuesday sought the help of the general public to identify a young male who passed away after he was allegedly run over by a negligently driven Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus on LTP Road in the city.

According to the police, the incident took place between 10:30 and 11 pm on Monday at the KSRTC parking lot-1 in Upparpet Police Station limits in Bengaluru. A KSRTC driver, who was allegedly driving rashly knocked down the pedestrian and ran over him.

As the pedestrian sustained severe injuries on his face and body, he died at the spot following excess bleeding. The Upparpet police registered a case in this regard and are investigating the matter. Speaking to News Trail, an official from the police station said that the deceased appeared to be in his mid-twenties and was wearing a blue shirt at the time of the accident.
