Delivery executive run over by fuel tanker

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A 50-year-old food delivery executive died after he was knocked down by a fuel tanker while riding on Mysuru Road near Guddadahalli in the city. The deceased was identified as Kishore, a resident of Rajarajeshwari Nagar in Bengaluru.

The Byatarayanapura Traffic Police, who registered a case, said that the incident took place around 1 pm on Tuesday when Kishore was on his way to deliver food ordered by a resident in Guddadahalli.

An overspeeding fuel tanker allegedly hit the biker near Bhagyalakshmi godown and ran over him. A few passers-by immediately rushed the injured biker to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries, the police added.

Further investigation is on.

Elderly woman succumbed to injuries

Meanwhile a 60-year-old woman who had suffered severe injuries in an accident on Mysuru Road near Pantharapalya recently, succumbed to her injuries at Victoria Hospital.

Nasima, a resident of Pantharapalya, was waiting for a bus at the station on May 27 around 10:30 am when an unidentified vehicle coming from Rajarajeshwari Nagar, allegedly knocked her down and sped from the place without stopping.

The woman was shifted to hospital, but died without responding to treatment on Tuesday. The traffic police have taken up a case and are verifying the CCTV cameras to track the unidentified vehicle and its driver.
