Traffic advisory for religious procession

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In view of a a religious procession or ‘Palakki’ which will be taken out on Friday from Hongasandra Bus Stop to Kodichikkanahalli Junction, the south division of Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has issued an advisory to be followed by commuters and motorists to ensure smooth traffic flow.

The procession of Sri Sitaram Lakshmana, Ganapathi along with other village deities will continue from 12 midnight to 6 am on Friday.

Those coming from Bommanahalli junction and going to Begur can proceed to Kudlu Gate and take a right turn to reach Begur Main Road.

Those moving towards Devarachikkanahalli and Begur are advised to take a right turn at Kodichikkanahalli and move via D Mart junction.

Vehicles from Begur towards Kodichikkanahalli can take a left near PK Kalyana Mantapa cross in Hulimavu limits and reach Kodichikkanahalli via ward roads in Begur.

Traffic advisory for walkathon

A Walkathon and a horse rally will be taken out by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) from 6 am to 10 am on Friday to mark ‘World No Tobacco Day.’

The walkathon will commence from Freedom Park in Gandhinagar to the Town Hall. Traffic movement on the following roads will be restricted: Sheshadri road from Freedom Park to K R Circle, Dr B R Ambedkar Road from K R Circle to Balekundri Circle, Queens Road from Balekundri Circle to CTO Circle, Central Street:- From B R V Circle to Anil Kumble Circle, M G Road from Anil Kumble Circle to Queens Junction, Kasturba Road from Hudson Circle to Queens Junction, Vittal Mallya Road from Siddalingaiah Junction to RRMR Junction, Hudson Circle from Hudson Church to NR Square and Town Hall Circle from NR Road to Town Hall.
