Prajwal Revanna back in B'luru, in custody

New Delhi, NT Bureau: J D(S) MP from Hassan and rape-accused Prajwal Revanna landed at the Bengaluru International Airport in the wee hours of Friday after which he was taken into custody by members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The MP is flying in from Munich, Germany.

He had fled from India on April 27 after videos of him allegedly sexually assaulting scores of women in nearly 3,000 videos started doing the rounds in Hassan by way of pen drives in the lead up to April 26 when the Lok Sabha seat went to polls.

Congressman Shreyas Patel had contested against Prajwal in Hassan. The relevant SIT was announced by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah based on a complaint by a women’s organisation hours after Prajwal fled the country.

As many as three FIRs of alleged rape and sexual assault have been registered against the sitting MP. Similarly, rape and abduction cases have been registered against his father and Holenarasipura MLA HD Revanna, who is now out on bail.
