KSRTC portal simplifies bus pass distribution; free travel for girl students
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Karnataka St ate Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced the commencement of the online application process for student bus passes for the academic year 2024-25. As per government directives, students must apply through the Sevasindhu portal to obtain their bus passes.
The entire process is computerised to streamline and simplify the distribution of passes. Students must apply for the passes exclusively through the Sevasindhu portal.
The portal can be accessed at Sevasindhu Services. Applications can be submitted starting from May 31, at no cost through the Sevasindhu portal. Alternatively, students can submit their applications at Karnataka-One, Grama-One, and Bangalore-One centres, where a service charge of Rs. 30 will apply.
Students can download the Declaration Form from either the Sevasindhu portal or the KSRTC website ([KSRTC Student Pass](https://ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in/student pass)) and submit it along with their application.
Upon approval of the application, students will receive an SMS notification with details on where to collect their passes. Passes will be issued from June 1, 2024, at designated counters, including KSRTC bus stands, KarnatakaOne, and Grama-One counters.
Students can pay the prescribed fee using cash, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The government provides free travel for all women residents, including female students and transgenders, under the Shakti Scheme. Girl students from neighbouring states must apply for concessional passes following the same procedure.
