Balaji Layout Market Road to open for traffic reducing congestion on Kanakapura Road

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: On Wednesday morning, Balaji Layout Market Road will be thrown open for traffic, allowing BMTC buses to use this route to reach Kanakapura Road instead of Pipeline Road. This change is expected to reduce traf fic on Balaji Layout Park Road.

Additionally, the stretch from 100 Ft Road to Holiday Village Road Junction on Kanakapura Road is likely to open by June 10. Meanwhile, culvert work near Jnanasweekar School is set to start in a few days, leading to a threemonth closure of one part of Kanakapura Main Road near Jnanasweekar Junction, with each side closed for 45 days.

Previously, on May 22, the Bengaluru Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory regarding BWSSB pipeline work for the Cauvery 5th stage. The work, now in its final phase, has reached the Holiday Village Junction on Kanakapura Road, where pipes are being joined. This process is expected to take 8-10 days, necessitating the closure of the entry from Balaji Layout Market Road to Kanakapura Road. In other news, the HAL Airport Traffic Police Station has issued a traffic advisory stating that the Marathalli divider will be temporarily closed in the mornings from June 4 to alleviate slow-moving traffic towards the city, reopening at noon. In account of the Lok Sabha Election 2024 vote counting on Tuesday, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have implemented traffic arrangements to facilitate smooth traffic flow in the vicinity of the counting centres. Commuters are requested to plan their routes accordingly and cooperate with traffic authorities.
