Ireland and Scotland WC jerseys have no ‘Nandini’ logo
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Karnataka’s own ‘Nandini’ brand, managed by Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) made headlines recently featuring on the jerseys of Scotland and Ireland national cricket teams participating in the ICC T-20 World Cup happening in the USA and West Indies. However, fans were disappointed to not find the logo in the jerseys put up for sale on websites.
The World Cup commenced on June 1 and will continue till June 29. India, Australia, West Indies and South Africa are among the 20 nations contesting in the tournament. On May 16, Cricket Scotland had unveiled their kit for the tournament, and the logo with ‘Nandini ‘ written in English and Kannada appeared on the lead arm sleeve.
On Sunday, Ireland had released their match kit with the logo featuring on the lead arm sleeve. As per visuals, the training kit has the logo placed on the centre.
Fans eager to get their hands on one of the jerseys, were left disappointed with the logo not appearing on the jerseys on sale on the website. As per visuals in the website of Gray-Nicolls, kit manufacturer for Scotland, a kit was sold at 48 British Pounds.
Nandini’s logo was, however, not found. Kit Manufacturer for Ireland Macron also sold the kit at 80 Euros, however, the logo was missing. When News Trail raised the issue with the marketing department of KMF, senior officials ensured that it would be resolved.
“We are in constant touch with the top brass and the cricketing boards,” said a well placed marketing official.
