Actress Hema claims innocence, remanded to two-day police custody
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Telugu actress Hema, who was arrested in connection with the rave party case in the city, was remanded to two-days in police custody after she was questioned by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru.
The actress was presented before a Bengaluru court on Wednesday. While she was being escorted to the court, Hema alleged that the police had taken her to a forest in the middle of the night and made her sign some papers.
Following the court order, she was taken back to Parappana Agrahara Central Prison. The actress’s family members were also present during the court proceedings. According to sources, during the questioning she had told the investigating officers that she had gone to the party to cut the cake and then went back to her place.
Meanwhile, police are conducting an investigation to identify all those involved and to prevent such incidents in future. Sources claimed that Hema, was found using her other name ‘Krishnaveni’ and gave a false phone number during the police raid.
