FIR against six for making fake property documents
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: An FIR has been registered against six people at the High Grounds Police Station in the city for allegedly possessing fake property documents of the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bengaluru Rural here.
According to sources, based on a complaint filed by the Control Room Inspector Santosh, of Bengaluru Rural District, the FIR was registered against six accused identified as Rajshekhar, Haneef, Mohammed Nadeem, Mohan Shetty, Zameer and Ganapathy.
As per the complaint, the accused had barged into the IGP office premises and were caught recording videos.
When security personnel asked them to leave the premises, the six accused started arguing with them claiming that the property belonged to them and is registered in their name. When the police checked, the documents mentioned the name of two people, Mohan Shetty and Rajashekhar and claimed that they were the property owners.
The accused claimed that they had bought the property through the General Power of Attorney (GPA). However, as no such documents have been sold to anyone, the police found that the claims of the accused were false and later suspected that the documents were forged.
The police have taken up a case and have issued a notice to the accused asking them to appear for an inquiry along with the documents that they have with them. Further details of the investigation are yet to emerge.
