BMTC and Namma Metro offer real-time transit data

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: After several delays, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and Namma Metro have decided to make their real-time transit data accessible.

This move aims to support startups in developing applications that utilise real-time data from both BMTC buses and Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL).

Officials have confirmed to the media that they intend to open up real-time transit data. They plan to upload the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS), a globally recognised transit data standard, onto a shared portal.
