Oppn corners Modi-Shah over silence on terror attacks

New Delhi, NT Bureau: In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Modiled BJP over three terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in as many days, Opposition parties questioned his silence on the incidents and accused him of ignoring pressing issues to join victory celebrations.

They claimed that the BJP’s chest-thumping and “hollow” claims of the return of peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir have been thoroughly exposed by the three terror attacks in the region in the past three days.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused Modi of being busy celebrating his victory instead of addressing issues. In a post on X, he wrote, “ Modi is busy responding to congratulatory messages and cannot hear the cries of families of the devotees who were killed in Jammu and Kashmir.”
