Ramya condemns high-profile figures
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Former MP and actress Ramya has sharply criticised actor Darshan, Prajwal Revanna, former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Suraj Revanna, all of whom are facing allegations of sexual assault and murder.
In a post on 'X', Ramya condemned the wealthy and influential individuals accused of breaking the law, stating: "The ones breaking the law who have been in the news are the rich and powerful and the ones at the receiving end of their violent actions are the poor, women & children. The c o m m o n people of Karnataka. Hats off to the police and media for bringing these crimes out. Justice will truly be done when trial is expedited and the cases are taken to their logical conclusion. If justice doesn’t prevail- then what message are we giving to the public??”
Her X post follows the arrest of Darshan in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, which has stirred significant public outcry and demands for a thorough investigation and justice for Renukaswamy’s family.
In an earlier post on 'X', Ramya had called for justice for the victim’s family. Ramya also expressed her appreciation and respect for police officers, acknowledging the challenges they face and commending their efforts despite pressure from political parties.
