Two suspected Dengue deaths in B’luru

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Amid the rising number of Dengue cases in Bengaluru, the ciivc agency Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) revealed on Friday that two persons in the city are suspected to have died of Dengue fever.

One of them is reportedly a 24-year-old resident of Kaggadasapura near Indiranagar while the other is an 80-yearold cancer patient from Tamil Nadu.

Recently, BBMP Chief commissioner Tushar Girinath had disclosed that 1320 Dengue cases have been reported in Bengaluru from January, higher than last year's figure of 732 from Jan - June 2023.

A health audit will be performed on Saturday and the report will be submitted to the health and family welfare department, said Suralkar Vikas Kishore, Special Commissioner.
