Slender Loris spotted in Tumakuru, rescued

Bengaluru: A Slender Loris which accidentally strayed into Tumakuru City, was rescued by a snake conservationist on Sunday.

According to information reaching here, the Slender Loris was spotted on a tree near Rangapura Factory Quarters. Hundreds of people gathered at the spot to see the unexpected guest from the forest.

On receiving information, Dileep, a snake rescuer came to the spot, caught the animal and handed it over to the Forest Department who shifted it to Devarayanadurga Forest. The Slender Loris is shy by nature and avoids human habitats. It is not known from where it came and entered Tumakuru.
