Two arrested in connection with ITC employee's murder
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Pulikeshi Nagar police on Thursday arrested two men in connection with the murder of an ITC worker in the city. The police said that two accused, identified as Kiran and Rahul, have been arrested in the case so far. However another accused is on the run and a search has been initiated to nab him, the police added.
The body of the deceased ITC employee, Ajith, was found near Cox Town around 7:35 am on Wednesday by a few locals who alerted the jurisdictional police immediately.
It was suspected that an armed gang had attacked Ajith with sharp weapons while he was returning to his house after his work shift. Ajith was a resident of Banaswadi here.
Following an interrogation, it was learnt that Kiran and his accomplices had attacked Ajith over an old rivalry between two gangs.
A couple of weeks ago, police had registered a complaint after Ajith and his gang had attacked Kiran and his men over a petty issue. It seemed that Kiran had been plotting to eliminate Ajith for the past fifteen days, the police said following an interrogation of the accused.
