Server issues cause delays in ration card amendments
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: As preparations for the Lok Sabha elections intensify, the Food Department's decision to suspend corrections to BPL cards has caused widespread inconvenience.
While a window for amendments has now reopened, beneficiaries are encountering persistent server problems at Bangalore One Centers. Scheduled from 10 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm every day, the amendment process is frequently disrupted by server glitches.
This ongoing issue has disrupted the distribution of Annabhagya benefits, leaving BPL beneficiaries without essential rice and financial aid. Despite the allowance for corrections outside of daily chores, beneficiaries face long queues and recurring server failures.
Even with a three-day window for corrections, the situation persists, with daily complaints about slow server speeds. The closure of the BPL website during the election period has added to public frustration, exacerbating inconvenience.
In response, the public calls for swift resolution from authorities, stressing the urgent need to address server issues affecting the correction process. They demand the restoration of smooth operations at Bengaluru One Centers and other service points.
