Women harassed by bikers in separate incidents
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Two separate incidents of women harassment took place in the city following which the victims on Monday reported the matter to the police and shared the details along with the videos of the incident on social media handles.
As per the complaint, the accused in both the incidents were youths riding bikes. In the first instance, a biker, who had covered his face with a helmet, stopped his bike and allegedly made obscene gestures at a college student on the busy VV Puram Road.
One of the other students recorded his act on her mobile phone and posted it on social media tagging Bengaluru Police Commissioner, seeking action.
After examining the CCTV footage from the cameras in the area, the police in a few hours nabbed a 48-year-old man, identified as Ayub Rehman. The police are interrogating the accused currently.
