CM office discarded farmers’ letters, say detractors
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Allegations h ave emerged that written petitions submitted to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by farmers of Chamarajanagara district had been discarded in the dustbin after videos purportedly depicting the same started doing the rounds on social media.
Apparently, Siddaramaiah had attended a meeting in Chamarajanagara district and met with farmer leaders who had submitted written petitions to him. However, unconfirmed videos show the letters discarded in a wastepaper basket.
The detractors of the CM regarded the videos as genuine and demanded an apology from him. Among them were farmer leaders who dubbed Siddaramaiah as arrogant. Others such as BJP state president BY Vijayendra labeled the CM’s “Janata Darshan” programmes a “drama”.
