Man arrested for murder, confesses to crime

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A quarrel took place between three persons over a sleeping spot on the night of July 7 at an under-construction community hall in Kottanur village, within the Konanakunte Police Station limits.

During this altercation, one person was assaulted with a razor and a wooden log. Another person sustained major injuries. The murdered person’s wife lodged a complaint at the Konanakunte Police Station.

The police, who investigated from various angles, arrested one suspect on July 12 near a poultry farm on Bannerghatta Road. During interrogation, he admitted to committing the murder. The accused was produced before court, which ordered him in judicial custody.

The investigation was conducted by Subramanyapura Sub-division ACP Girish and Police Inspector M Papanna, under the guidance of South Division DCP Lokesh B Jalasar.
