Minibus crash near Basapura bridge leaves one dead

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: An accident occurred around 9 am near the Basapura bridge when a minibus carrying 18 employees of a switchboard company in Bommasandra crashed into a stationary 16-wheeler lorry parked on the side of the road.

Moments later, two cars following the minibus also collided with it. The Bengaluru Traffic Police reported the accident around 9:30 am and issued an advisory for slowmoving traffic in the area. The collision resulted in the death of Devaraju, a native of Kunigal and an employee of the company.

Four other passengers of the minibus, along with the driver, sustained injuries and were taken to Sacred Oak Hospital and Kauvery Hospital on Hosur Road. According to the Electronics City traffic police, the passengers in both cars escaped unscathed.
