Absconding film director arrested for murder after 20 years
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The CCB police have apprehended Gajendra, alias Gaja, a film director who had been on the run for 20 years after being involved in a murder case.
Gajendra, known for directing a few Kannada and Tamil films, was implicated in the 2004 murder of rowdy Kottaravi in Wilson Garden.
He was the eighth accused along with Nalli Chandrappa and Aluminum Babu. Gajendra served one year in prison after being convicted but disappeared after being released on bail. Recently, the CCB police, acting on new information, arrested him and presented him in court. Gajendra had directed films such as ‘Putani Power’ and ‘Rudra’.
